  42.             By Angela Schmidt. Required by GLIB, the librarian. I can
  43.             provide version 5.0, though I would prefer you to look
  44.             elsewhere first. An address from the documentation is:

  47.     reqtools.library
  48.             By Nico François. Required by GL, the player. Comes in
  49.             two flavors, KS1.3 and KS2.0. I can provide either, and
  50.             have version 38.693 from the reqtools2.0 distribution.

  52.     xpkmaster.library
  53.             By U. Dominik Mueller and colleagues. Required by both
  54.             the librarian and player for existing files which use
  55.             XPK, but optional (strongly recommended) otherwise. I
  56.             can't distribute this yet, but the Usenet address in
  57.             the documentation is: "umueller@amiga.physik.unizh.ch".

  60.     HISTORY
  61.  
  62.     2.0     First public release of 2.x generation.
  63.  
  64.     2.1     GLIB now uses iff.library instead of ilbm.library. The
  65.             latter seemed to have problems reading some files.
  66.  
  67.             GL no longer does range checking on the W/H/D parameters
  68.             to the video command. So you can now open HIRES 5-plane
  69.             displays, etc.
  70.  
  71.             GLIB now defaults to XPK off, instead of XPK NUKE. This is
  72.             because of problems I am having with XPK. The current 1.0
  73.             version available to me seems to be unusable for the kind
  74.             of compression parameters GLIB requires.
  75.  
  76.             GLIB now defaults to Amiga format when creating archives.
  77.             The "-a" option has been removed, and the "-p" option has
  78.             been added to allow the creation of PClone archives.

  80.             GLFONT has been created from an earlier work by Francis
  81.             Gardner. The idea is to allow the user to create clips of
  82.             text, so they can use CLOAD and CFADE instead of the
  83.             unsupported FLOAD and TEXT commands.

  85.             GL now handles the CHGCOLOR command.

  87.             GL now takes an extra parameter for CLOAD and PLOAD. This
  88.             is TYPE, either "FAST" or "CHIP", and specifies what kind
  89.             of RAM you want the data loaded into. Pictures in FAST RAM
  90.             will be displayed much more slowly than those in CHIP.

  92.             GL has had various modifications to the operation of its
  93.             file requester. A pattern gadget has been added, and a bug
  94.             with selecting files with an empty directory field has
  95.             been fixed.
